Real World Problem: How to transport four gallons of concrete to 690 spots? Spoiler alert: it’s no walk in the park! It’s a concrete jungle out there, requiring tons of effort and elbow grease.

The Marchuska Brothers, a residential and commercial construction company based in Vestal, NY were awarded a contract to install approximately 900 signs for the transit system in Broome County NY. Due to the many different areas and landscapes that the Marchuska Brothers would be installing in, they knew that pouring traditional concrete on site at 650 of the 900 locations would be extremely cumbersome with regards to labor, materials and time.

It is very difficult to get small volumes of concrete to 650 rural locations along with water and mix to each location and to have to return to each location at least twice the timeline for the overall project would be at least doubled which would in turn also double labor costs.

Mike Stisson, the master estimator at Marchuska Brothers Construction LLC, reached out to EZ-CRETE for a helping hand. Together, we hatched a genius plan centered around our EZ-TUBE product, offering a nifty and swift solution for sign foundations. This magic recipe allowed a dynamic duo to wrap up the job in less than an hour, boosting their daily average to a whopping 7 sturdy sign post foundations. In contrast, sticking to the old-fashioned on-site pouring method would have only churned out 3-4 installations a day, weather gods permitting. The precast fix slashed the project timeline and labor efforts by a jaw-dropping 50%
