In one of their latest initiatives, SCIpact is installing more than 24 Level 2 (L2) EV Chargers at the Marine Corps Air Station in Cherry Point, North Carolina, helping support a more sustainable future for government facilities and military campuses.
From the onset of the project, SCIpact recognized the importance of efficiency, durability, and precision—and turned to EZ-CRETE, a trusted manufacturer of precast concrete EV Charger bases, to help streamline the process.
“EZ-CRETE’s precast concrete bases saved us an average of 3 labor hours per installation—totaling 78 hours across the project,” said Russell Winslow, Senior Project Manager at SCIpact. “Because the pads were ready to go on delivery, we eliminated the need for multiple trips or waiting for concrete to cure. We simply dug the hole, leveled the site, mounted and set the EV Charger base, wired up, and moved on. Having precast bases built to our exact specs created significant time and labor savings and kept our project on schedule.”

SCIpact installed 11 dual-head L2 EV Chargers and 2 DC Fast Chargers, with plans already in motion to expand the installation with an additional 6–8 EV charging stations across the Marine Corps campus.
Why Precast Concrete EV Charger Bases
With tight specifications, including conduit placement and rebar layout, SCIpact required an EV charger mounting solution that would meet military-grade standards while reducing on-site labor demands. EZ-CRETE’s custom-built EV Charger Bases were engineered to spec, delivered ready-to-install, and eliminated the common issues associated with on-site concrete pouring—such as scheduling delays, bad weather, cure times, and inconsistencies in finish.
Using precast concrete solutions from EZ-CRETE allowed SCIpact to:
Save labor hours and reduce project costs
Avoid scheduling delays caused by on-site concrete mixing
Ensure high-strength durability and long-term performance
Maintain precision with conduit placement and structural rebar reinforcement
Building a Sustainable Future
SCIpact’s work is more than just installation—it’s a step toward a cleaner, greener infrastructure. By expanding EV charging capabilities at government facilities, SCIpact is actively contributing to sustainable transportation solutionsacross the U.S. Their commitment to innovation, quality, and environmental responsibility is reflected in their choice to partner with EZ-CRETE and utilize precast concrete EV Charging station bases designed to simplify installation while enhancing long-term performance.
Looking ahead, SCIpact plans to continue its EV infrastructure expansion across the Midwest, Illinois, and the Mississippi River District, helping communities and institutions alike reduce emissions and embrace a more electrified future.
